An old friend

It was a week after i had left my relationship. I was feeling very good about myself. Flirting with lots of different boys and generally having a great time.

Because i was single, i found myself spending more time on facebook, with the chat box open. This is something i didn't do when i was in a relationship.

Around this time i got speaking to an old friend that i hadn't actually seen for many years. I knew him when i was 14, we used to hang out in the same crowd, he was a nice kid back then, but not someone that i saw in anyway as a boy i would like to kiss. Plus i was "going steady" with his friend, so it never came up.

Fast forward 15 years or so - he is hot! I mean, really really hot. we exchanged numbers over facebook, and started texting. All the time.

It was at this point that i got over excited, he had his own business, he was gorgeous and clearly very into me. He asked me if i fancied going for a drink some time to "catch up" i agreed.

Fast forward to a week later, the day of the date. I was a nervous wreck. The dating thing is something i've never really done before, and just coming out of a long relationship i had no idea what to expect.

I fretted all day about what to wear, but i went for a casual approach. Jeans, heels, white tee and cardigan. We were only going to a local pub, so it needed to be casual, but not like i had just got out of bed.

My hair looked good, make up - great. I felt confident.

I arrived at the pub, just as i pulled in, i heard my phone alert me that i had a text message. It was An old friend telling me he was stuck in the city and wouldn't be able to make it!!! Great!

As i am staring at my phone, trying to come up with some kind of response, another text message came through from him: Joking. I will be there in 10!

Phew! i was about to go bat shit crazy. Luckily i have a great sense of humour and thought it was funny.

I decided to wait inside the pub and get me a drink. I get to the bar, order a beer. Just as i turn round i see him walk in, he is talking on his phone. He sees me and walks over, as he gets near me, he says down the phone "i have to go" and ends the call. Kisses me on the cheek and says hello.

Right at this moment i think.....There was no-one on the end of that call. Why would someone do that?. I don't get it.

Anyway, he gets a drink and we go sit at a table. The conversation goes well, we catch up on all the things that have happened to us over the years. Its going well.

The pub starts to get quite busy, and as It's a really warm night, we decide to take this outside.

At this point, all i can think about is kissing this boy. He really is lovely to look at. We are getting along well.

He takes a break in the conversation to get up to go to the bar and get more drinks. As he gets to his feet and picks up our glasses, he leans down and kisses me full on!

I'm gobsmacked! Obviously i kiss him back. Lovely, if not a little wet. I have to wipe my mouth when he had finished, but i put this down to the angle of the kiss, the quickness of it. I wasn't to grossed out at this point.

He returns to the table with more drinks and things start to get more and more flirty. Its at this point i realise, he has wet kisses.

Let me just say, he wasnt a bad kisser. I kissed him all night. He was aggressive when needed and soft when needed. But his tongue was really big* and well i hadn't kissed anyone for a very long time, so it was nice.

At some point in the night, we decided to go back into the pub as it was getting a little cold. More drinks and kissing went by. when i realised the pub was empty, save for us and the bartenders. We decided to take this outside, and engaged in what i can only describe as parking, and "made out" in my car for about an hour!

It was really great! I love kissing! love it!

At about 1.30am i said that i should get going as i had to be up for work in a few hours. We agreed to meet on Sunday for another snogfest ...and maybe more!

I got home feeling swollen around the lip area, but with a huge smile on my face.

Great night. Great date. I like Him.

*Thats not a bad thing ;0)
